6. AVAILMENT OF TAX EXEMPTIONS PURSUANT TO LOCAL INVESTMENT INCENTIVE CODE
Tax exemptions are provided to investors, businessmen, or corporations in accordance to the Omnibus Investments Code of 1987, as amended, to integrate the basic laws on investments, clarifying and harmonizing their provisions to encourage and guide domestic and foreign investors. The Local Investment Incentive Code is seen as an effective marketing tool to boost economic development through the attraction, generation, retention, expansion, and /or diversification of investments and development of local industries and businesses in the area.
