14. Fruit Tree, Industrial Tree Seedlings, Ornamental Plants, Herbs and Vermicast for Sale/dispersal
Clients can avail fruit and industrial tree seedlings, ornamental plants, herbs and vermicast at the office depending on the availability of supply. This is aim to increase productivity of farmers by providing organic fertilizer and healthy and viable seedlings. This is part of the extension services mandate of the municipality under RA 7160 and RA 8435. The sources of planting materials are usually from DARFO-10 program and the Municipal Agriculture Office. The Municipal Agriculture Office have its own propagated seedlings which include but not limited to acerola, kalamansi, lime, ornamental plants, herbs and coffee including seventeen (17) vermi beds producing vermicast. The DARFO-10 and other agencies from time to time release seedlings to the Local Government Unit for dispersal to farmers.
